Here at Anna’s, we receive weekly pie deliveries from Wagner Orchards in Lakeshore! Flavours vary and they never last long as they are truly delicious!
The Story of Wagner Orchards:
Wagner Orchards and Estate Winery have humble beginnings dating back to apple tree plantings in 1986. Beginning as a small “pick-your-own” farm, it has expanded to become a family agricultural destination. The proprietors of Wagner Orchards are Harold and Janice Wagner.
Harold is a 1981 graduate of the University of Guelph with a degree in agriculture and Janice is a veterinarian (OVC 1984) and owner of the Essex Animal Hospital. Harold and Janice, along with their children, Matt, Melissa, and Katrina operate the farm. We love a classic, family-owned, and operated story!
Wagner Orchards continuously seeks to improve food quality through sound environmental practices. Raising their beef, pork, and poultry free of hormones, chemicals, and antibiotics. Their fruit trees have a minimal amount of chemicals needed to produce high-quality fruit and where possible they use natural pest control rather than insecticide. Meaning their food is grown in the healthiest possible way.
Wagner’s has expanded to include a farm bakery, producing fresh, homemade pies, strudels, and desserts. Using old family recipes and the highest quality local produce, Harold and his daughter Katrina create the mouth-watering desserts!
