A quick and low maintenance way to increase your overall curb appeal is by adding some patio pots to your landscape. Here at Anna’s we craft and create thousands of seasonal patio pots every year. With Spring in full swing and Summer not too far behind our talented Team has been busy putting together dozens of patio pot variations in different shapes, sizes and colour combinations.
Although there are many different patio pots available, their general care is fairly similar. To make caring for your patio pots simple and stress-free, we include plant care signs next to each patio pot outlining its specific maintenance instructions. The major difference to look for when selecting your patio pots is the light condition. We create patio pots for all types of light conditions: full sun, partial sun and shade. To ensure you get the most out of your patio pot, it is imperative you select based on the lighting condition it will be subjected to in its new home.
When watering your patio pot, it is best to keep the soil evenly moist, especially on those hot and humid Summer days. All of our planters come pre-potted in pots with proper drainage holes. If you happen to transfer your patio pot into a different vessel, it is imperative to ensure adequate drainage. If excess water is not allowed to run through your planter, you run the risk of root rot, which will ultimately destroy the plants.
To keep your patio pot looking extra lush or to encourage more rapid growth you may fertilize using a water-soluble 20-20-20 product, every couple of weeks.
All of our patio pots are made with a dynamic combination or ‘thriller,’ ‘filler’ and ‘spiller’ plants and are designed to bring the WOW-factor. If you are ever unsure as to type of patio pot that would be best for your space we have garden centre associates on-hand to assist. Or, if you cannot find that perfect patio pot, we do offer custom planter services as well. We have tons of options available, and we are always here to help!
