The vibrant, trumpet-like flower of the Yellow Elder makes this tree a wonderful tropical addition to any annual garden. With its non-stop supply of bright yellow flowers, the Yellow Elder is commonly placed on front porches and planters as a showy display of continuous colour! This sun-loving plant is easy to grow and provides an abundance of gorgeous, golden flowers from Spring until Fall!

Plant Yellow Elder in a bright and sunny location where it will receive at least 6 hours of sunshine a day. Yellow Elder can tolerate partial shade but it may reduce the number of blooms produced. Water Yellow Elder when the top 2 inches of soil dries out. Like most tropical flowers, Yellow Elder prefers well-drained soil.

Yellow Elder can grow up to 6 feet tall and wide when cared for properly. Prune your plant back at any time of the season to help form the desired shape.

The Yellow Elder is considered an annual but it can grow as a perennial in more tropical regions. Fertilize your Yellow Elder every two weeks with an all-purpose fertilizer. Use less fertilizer during Spring and Summer months if you notice reduced blooming on your plant.

This golden flower is adored by pollinators like honeybees and hummingbirds! Catch the attention of butterflies with the natural trumpet shape of these clustered flowers. Enjoy bursts of colour provided by the lasting blooms of the Yellow Elder all season long!
